THE TOWN
De Haan, the most beautiful and romantic town on the Belgian coast. It is a quiet family town, no high buildings like everywhere else on the Coast.
A walk in the “Concession”, the historical and residential part of De Haan, brings you back to the past. Almost all buildings are “Belle Epoque”.
In De Haan, you can also find a wood in the dunes. Between Wenduine and Vosseslag there are 157 hectares of wooded dunes. This wood is only interrupted by the picturesque town of De Haan. This unique wooded area invites you for long walks. For horse riding fans, there are trails in the woods, and the beach invites you to wonderful gallops.
There is also an unlimited number of bicycle trails, you can pedal for hours without getting tired because the name “flat land” wasn’t given in vain….
Good food lovers will also be pleased because there are a lot of very good restaurants in De Haan and nearby.
De Haan is 10 km from Ostend and 15 km from Bruges, the “Northern Venice”.
